pay for exactly as many kilometres as you drive
no matter how long you take a wigo max car for, you'll pay for the kilometres separately, but wigo extra applies for that as well

if you stop at a paid parking place, don't forget to start parking, as this is not included in the wigo max package price
refuel before you're done
you can only end your trip above 15% fuel level. You'll find MOL and OMV cards in the glove compartment, which you can use to fill up your car for free before returning it to the wigo max point

Yes, you get a 20% discount on package rates and extra kilometres with wigo extra, just like regular wigo carsharing trips.
If you want to park your wigo max car in a public space, there are several ways to start parking in Budapest:
- Via mobile apps: You can use parking apps like Simple, Parkl or VoxPay, where you can start and stop parking with a few clicks.
- By SMS: send an SMS with the information displayed on the parking machine on the spot.
- At a parking machine: you can also buy a parking ticket at a parking machine on site, which you must place in a clearly visible place on the dashboard of your car.
If you are unsure of the parking method or zone, you should check the current parking information on the Budapest Közút website or in the relevant mobile app.
You can book wigo max cars up to 30 days in advance, but if you need a vehicle immediately and there are cars available, you can pick them up right away.
- More than 24 hours before departure: you can cancel your booking free of charge.
- If you cancel or do not pick up the car within 24 hours before departure, the system will automatically charge a cancellation fee.
wigo max cars are available in flexible time frames: minimum 2 hours, maximum 30 days. As the cars have a national highway vignette, you can drive it anywhere the country.
- If you pick up your car early: you can pick up your car up to 10 minutes before the start of your reservation and we won't charge you extra.
- If you pick up the car later: you will be charged for the entire duration of the reservation, regardless of when you pick up the car.
- If you don't pick up the car more than 1 hour after the start of the reservation: the system will automatically cancel the reservation and may charge a cancellation fee.
- If the delay is less than 10 minutes: no extra charge will be applied.
- If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will be charged on a per-minute basis.
- If you are more than one hour late: we may charge a separate penalty fee.
- If you want to change the end date of your reservation: You can do this during your trip if there are no other reservations for the car.
Yes! You can use your existing wigo credits for wigo max trips.
Yes, wigo care (optional deductible reduction) is also available for wigo max trips. This allows you to reduce your deductible for any damage or accidents. Learn more about wigo care here.
with wigo even refuelling is easy! The best thing is that you don't have to pay to fill up your wigo car at our partner petrol stations (OMV and MOL) - we pay for it.
If your car's fuel level drops below 15%, we'll ask you to fill it up as follows:
How to fill up your wigo max car:
1. Open the app and find the nearest OMV or MOL partner station.
2. Take the fuel card out of the glove compartment (choose the correct one for the station).
3. Your fuel card PIN will appear in the app.
4. You will find the correct fuel type on the fuel filler cap door - make sure you only use regular diesel (premium fuel such as MaxxMotion is not allowed).
5. Fill up.
6. Pay at the pump with your fuel card and PIN.
7. If your fuel level was below 15% before filling up, you will even get credits!
Important: Refuelling is only free at designated OMV and MOL petrol stations. If you fill up anywhere else, you will be charged for the fuel.
